Yours Truly
How it works

From a pile of photographs
to something on a shelf.

The whole thing takes about twenty minutes if you know which pictures you want, and you can stop and come back at any point.

1  Choose a design and a size

Each design comes in a few shapes — landscape for wide pictures, portrait for people, square if you cannot decide. The design is identical in each; only the page changes.

2  Drop your photographs in

All of them at once. They are read in the order they were taken, not the order they are named, so an evening stays an evening. If you give us fewer than the book holds, it repeats them rather than leaving gaps — and tells you exactly which are repeats, so you can add more later and watch the number fall.

3  Move anything you want to

Swap a photograph, zoom it inside its frame, drag it to sit better. Adjust brightness, warmth or a corner shade on any picture. Type your captions, or leave them empty. Every change can be undone.

4  See the whole thing

Page through it as a book, two pages at a time as it will be bound. Watch the film. Download a watermarked copy of both to show someone whose opinion you need before you spend money.

5  Order it

We print it, bind it and post it. The clean PDF and film come with the order if you want them.

Two things we do that most do not

We check it will print

A photograph that looks perfect on a laptop can print soft, because what matters is not how many pixels the file has but how many land in the space the design gives it. Every picture is measured against its frame and anything below print standard is flagged — with the page it is on — before you pay, not after it arrives.

Nothing goes to a server to be made

The book, the PDF and the film are all built on your own device. Your photographs do not leave it until you ask us to save the book or print it.
