Plain version first: your photographs are yours. We keep as little as we can for as short a time as we can, and you can delete everything whenever you like.
Nothing leaves your device unless you ask us to save the book. The editor runs entirely in your browser — the layout, the PDF and the film are all made there.
We keep small copies of your photographs — big enough to lay out a page, not big enough to print — so you can close the tab and come back. If you never order, these are deleted after thirty days. We write every week — on the seventh day, and again on the fourteenth, twenty-first and twenty-eighth, so it is never a surprise.
We then need the full-size originals to print from. Those are kept until the book is delivered plus ninety days, in case a reprint is needed, and then deleted. The layout itself — which photograph sits where, and your captions — we keep, so you can order another copy later.
We do not sell your photographs, share them with anyone but the printer who is printing your book, or use them to train anything.
Ask, and we remove every photograph and every layout we hold for you, usually the same day. Orders already printed we keep a record of, because tax law requires it — but not the pictures.
